Execution at Scale Begins Now

Yesterday, PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI) took a decisive step forward by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei Indonesia and PT Kereta Api Indonesia, marking a deeper push into 5G and AI driven digital infrastructure across Indonesia’s railway ecosystem. More than just a formal agreement, this partnership strengthens execution capability toward its long term ambition of 20 million homepasses and over 12 million subscribers by 2030, while opening a new vertical in transport digitalization.

By embedding Huawei’s FTTH technology alongside 5G connectivity, AI based monitoring, and smart railway solutions into the Surge ecosystem, WIFI is building a reliable and scalable foundation to sustain a take up rate above 80% as expansion accelerates across Java. This is less about entering a new phase, and more about executing at scale extending beyond residential broadband into mission critical infrastructure with higher service stickiness and long term contract potential.

The timing of this collaboration is equally important. As the company moves into a more capital intensive rollout phase, Huawei’s global expertise is expected to support operational efficiency and execution discipline, even as Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) expansion may temporarily weigh on margins. Still, the broader direction remains intact, with revenues projected to surpass Rp13 trillion by 2029, reflecting a business that is scaling with clearer demand visibility across both consumer and infrastructure segments.

Over the longer term, this partnership reinforces confidence in the company’s financial trajectory and balance sheet discipline. As the investment cycle matures, the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) is expected to gradually improve post 2027, supported by a more stable earnings base. With Huawei’s support in data management and energy efficiency, WIFI is positioning itself not just as a connectivity provider, but as a key layer in Indonesia’s next generation digital and transport infrastructure.
